A life of no regrets is unrealistic. However, this does not mean we should go to town, misbehaving at will. While it is true that human nature is fallible, when we rely on God to help us and guide us, we can live a fruitful and productive life, where we are constantly learning and adjusting our behavior as we go through life. That is an enabled life. A life of marvelous help from God. That is what we should aim for.
Why is it that seemingly overnight, the nation has turned into a war zone? Kidnappings everywhere, ethnic clashes, terrorist attacks, bandit attacks, traffic robberies, insecurity, name it. All of these happenings are ruining the peace of the populace and yet, no voice from the top leadership. Do they no have anything to say and do for the people of Nigeria?
There is some profit in bodily exercise,. Go ahead and get some. Do it well. Do it consistently. Spiritual exercise profits a lot, not just in this life but also in the life to come. Get a lot of it. Do it well. Do it consistently.
Get fit.
Get physically fit. It would save you from unnecessary illness. It would make you able to enjoy life better. And you look better in clothes too!
Get spiritually fit. The benefits are innumerable, for yourself and your family. And it continues into the after life.
It’s high time we came out of our shells and the limitations of culture and tradition and open ourselves up for health and healing by sharing our feelings. Like has been popularly said in counselling situations, “ How does that make you feel?”
I’m glad to be alive to celebrate this Easter and I am glad to shout with brethren, the world over “ He is Risen”. Can we also add to that and mean it, “He is Coming Again!”
Yet, people wake up and go to work. The markets are open. Churches are open. Humans are moving like robots and the sun rises and sets each day. Where are the people with seeing eyes and hearing ears? There is trouble in the land. It is a keg of gunpowder waiting for the slightest spark to explode. Where are you? What are you doing?
We are made for good works, uniquely designed and planned for the unique person that we are. It is time to stop copying others and living lives that are not genuine and original. Let the original you come out, to do the original things that God made you for.
As we release the joy of the Lord, the Lord takes over, bringing us speed, alacrity and restoration beyond our expectations. In what strength do we pursue, overtake and recover all? It is in the strength of the Lord. When we are able to rise above our environment and release joy, we come to the realms of supernatural power where God takes over the process.
I believe we are alive at this time for a reason. And whatever we need to survive and thrive in this world has been made available by God. When we look to Him for guidance and help, He will provide all the help that we need. He says “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28 NLT
Who will deliver us from these leaders? Do we have any Moses’ growing up in the Pharaoh’s palace? Any Joseph in prison? Any Daniels in exile? This is the time to show up, and deliver this country from itself.
