Tick, Tock, Tick!

It was yesterday when I was looking forward to today

Today is the tomorrow I was dreaming about yesterday

Yet I find myself dreaming of another tomorrow

As surely as time flies

What did I do with yesterday when I had it?

Will tomorrow come and I can’t explain it?

With every tick tock of the clock

Time flies by, moment by moment

Moment by moment

A second, a minute, an hour, a day

A week, a month, a year, a decade

My very life flies by

What have I done with time?

What have I done with life?

Time is life, the currency of life

We spend it, use it, waste it

Cannot be stored, cannot be replenished

Cannot be stopped, always ticking

Once used, forever gone

Show me your timelines

Show me your life

What have you done with time?

Idle sitting, idle talk

Idle sleeping, wasted time

Sixty seconds, sixty minutes

Tick, tock, tick, my life away!
