1 Down, 11 To Go!

This year, our community of believers is taking this year as our fearless year: fearless faith, fearless worship, fearless flourishing and fearlessly launching out into the deep. We intend to be bold and courageous this year, knowing that all of our strength and courage will come from God, but putting our faith in Him and stepping out of our comfort zones. We believe like Joshua and Caleb that regardless of the economy and the environment we live in, we are able to go up and take the land because God is able to deliver it into our hands.

Dry Morsel

I would choose a dry morsel with quietness any day. Someone said it’s the path of least resistance, and I won’t go far that way. Maybe. But I cherish my peace of mind. There’s always a price to pay for anything in this world. Even when it’s free, it just means someone else paid the price. Look at salvation. It comes free to us because Jesus paid the price. He died on the cross in our place. Bore the pain and the shame, so that we didn’t have to.

Anticipation & The Art of Waiting Patiently

This year, I am anticipating that God will do several new things and several good things. Things I have hoped and prayed for before and not seen. Even things that I did not pray for and cannot imagine or anticipate! In view of that, I wait, in anticipation of what He will do. In my anticipation, however, I have to remind myself that God is never in a hurry.

With His system, everything is according to time, such that He is never too early and never too late. Everything is right on time. Recall the Bible says in Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 verse 1: “To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…”. Also many times, we see scripture saying: ” when the fullness of time has come” or “at the appointed time”. So while anticipation is good, I must learn to wait on God for His appointed time.

Ready To Roll!

In which direction are you running this year? I want to assume that you will be running and not wait and watch the year swing by? Run if you can. If you can’t, walk. If that is difficult, crawl. Whatever you do, make sure you’re not standing still. That is what my pastor used to say. Keep moving. It is within your movement that the Lord will lead you. There is so much anticipation for good things this year. Every word I’ve heard is positive and progressive. We have got to believe it and run with it, to ensure those words are fulfilled, in our personal lives as well as in the nation.

2020 Is Here!

At the beginning of a new year, there is usually so much anticipation. We expect new things, good things. We anticipate that the year has packaged gifts ready for us and we are just itching to open those boxes to see what we got! It is an exhilarating experience, especially as we move away from a particularly difficult year. It is my prayer that our expectations will not be cut short, but that we will experience and testify the goodness of God in this year 2020.

Peace On Earth!

What a beautiful gift! The gift of peace. And this peace is not like the peace the world offers, which is shortlived at best, and unreliable. This is real peace. The kind that keeps you calm and settled even when facing the worst dilemma. Solid peace. When the Prince of Peace brings you peace, you can relax and enjoy that peace, knowing that He has you covered.

Deck The Hall With Boughs of Holly!

And keep your joy level high at this period. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Everything is small stuff. I believe we will finish 2019 in a strong and fearless way. The new decade offers so much. We have a lot to be thankful for, both in the year that is ending and in the promises of the future, starting from this new decade. Our best years are still ahead.

Advent!

Can I say that regardless of how this year turned out, we can still rejoice? Yes, we can. Because it’s not over until it’s over. Even in the dying days of this year, God can still show up for us. Even till the very last moment of the year. It is doubly reassuring that God is not limited by time, such that, even in the New Year, He can still do everything that we waited for in 2019 and did not receive. With Him, nothing is too difficult. With Him, all things are possible. All things.
